Cheating a drug test is going to become more and more difficult in the future. People in charge of collecting the specimen are catching cheaters red handed. Those performing the actual testing of the specimen know what to look out for should something sneak by the collector. Lawsuits are being filed against companies who sell devices aimed to help people beat tests. People see drug test cheating as a growing problem and are doing what they can to combat it from all angles.
I’ve got not one, but two stories to share with our readers today about this very subject. First, we have the cheater that was caught red handed.
Court records show that 21-year-old Michael Frazier is on probation until 2010 for charges of felony forgery and grand theft. After he was discovered with an elastic tube containing urine Monday, he was charged with fraudulent urine testing. The new charge is a first-degree misdemeanor, punishable by up to a year in prison.
He was being held without bail.
Yeah, that probably wasn’t the best idea, was it?
The second talks about pending litigation against the makers of the more popular products available to help people beat drug tests.
Buchanan Takes On Drug-Test Cheaters

Federal prosecutors in Pittsburgh are taking aim at a contraption designed to help people beat workplace drug tests.
U.S. Attorney Mary Beth Buchanan’s office filed criminal charges Tuesday against Gerald W. Wills and Robert Dennis Catalano, and their Signal Hill, Calif., company Puck Technology Inc.
Prosecutors contend the men defrauded the government and conspired to sell drug paraphernalia by hawking products called the “Whizzinator” and “Number 1.”
